Ramblings About The Way It
Was
We hope you enjoy our ramblings of days gone
by, things we used to do that we miss, memories that will never
fade. They cover the gamut from remembering game nights, going to
the drive in movie, cruising, drag racing, the spring, summer and
many of those great car moments, all those great things we have lost
both socially, culturally, and professionally.
And just plain old fashioned common sense……
Remember when
Mom's stayed home, weekends were for the family, car trips were
taken, we discovered things about life and ourselves. When kids were
allowed to be kids, you could walk around your neighborhood without
worry, heck, you actually knew your neighbors.
Remember when kids were taught appropriate social behavior, like
every day courtesy, playing, sharing, obligations, citizenship,
trustworthiness, and a sense of family. For example, our lifestyles collection
has vintage movies like Let’s Play Fair, Playing Together,
the 1950 film, A Date With Your Family, which is narrated by Hugh
Beaumont (Beaver’s dad).
Let’s
not forget how to behave in school. I can remember my mom and dad
saying, if teacher has to reprimand you, I will do so again when you
get home.
To us,
the time when this country was truly great.
If you want to be taken back to your past and
show your kids and grandkids what your home life was like
growing up you will love our classic movies of an era gone by.
